Give Someone a Big Smile
All Products ...Annually we provide a scholarship to two deserving single parents who are currently attending college or will be attending in the near future, to assist them with their educational costs. The scholarship funds are paid directly to the school, not the scholarship recipient.
Every Friday until December 7, 2012, we will have We Care Fridays. We will feature a special item (price rage or $15 - $20), and $5 from every purchase will go towards the scholarship fund. Every Tuesday we will post how much money has been raised. Our goal is to raise $1000 so that 1 single mom and 1 single dad will receive a $500 scholarship. If the $1,000 goal is not reached, we will split the money raised between the two recipients. To participate, come back on Fridays and click on the link We Care Fridays.
To enter please write an essay of 500 words or less. The topic is "Necessity is the Mother of Invention." Single Parents have been using ingenuity to meet the needs of their families since time began. Share your story on what was the turning point that made you return to school at this point in your life.
Email the essay to care@naturallyme.us. The subject line must have your name and scholarship essay (ex Chaundra Smith's Scholarship Essay). All Essays must be received by November 30, 2012. Winners will be announced on or before December 21, 2012. To qualify, you must be accepted for the Spring 2013 semester in a degree program.
Last years winners were Monica Lucas and Tanita Eakins. They both attended Durham Technical Community College and both received a $300 scholarship.
Naturally Me is very grateful for all of the sacrifices that the men and women of our armed forces do for us on a daily basis. To show our gratitude, we have launched To Soldiers With Love.
Once a month, we send a Naturally Me Care Packages to a deserving woman in the military. To keep with the Pay it Forward movement, we ask the service member to nominate another deserving service member to receive a Naturally Me Care Package.
If you would like a service person that you know to receive a care package, fill out the form below and tell us why this person would be an amazing candidate for the care package. If the person is selected, you will receive an email for more detailed information on where to send the package.
We understand that sometimes we all have a bad day, month and even years. That's why we started Big Smiles. We take pride in putting Big Smiles on the faces of deserving individuals. Every month, our Big Smiles recipient will be chosen from our list of customers or from a list of people that are submitted to us. They will receive a Naturally Me gift with a small note from the person who nominated them. We want to let them know that there is someone out here that cares.
